Please Note: To ensure you purchase the correct size for your children there is a range of try-on samples which will be available at the school between 2.45 p.m – 3.15 p.m. Mondays - Thursdays.

Principles
It is our policy that all children should wear clothing that is in keeping with a purposeful learning ethos.  We also believe it is important that certain activities are facilitated by specialised and appropriate clothing when attending school, or when participating in a school-organised event outside normal school hours.  We provide a complete list of the items needed for children’s school uniform in this policy and in our school prospectus.

Aims
Our policy for children’s school uniform is based on the belief that a school uniform:

• promotes a sense of pride in the school
• engenders a feeling of community and belonging
• is practical and smart
• identifies the children with the school
• is not distracting in class (as fashion clothes might be)
• makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance
• is regarded as suitable, and good value for money, by most parents
• has been designed with health and safety in mind.

Our colours are navy blue, black / grey and white and the uniform is as follows:

Boys

• navy sweatshirt or fleece
• white or navy polo shirt or white shirt
• school book bag
• grey / black / navy trousers or shorts
• black  school shoes

Girls

• navy sweatshirt or cardigan or fleece
• white polo or white blouse
• school book bag
• grey / black / navy skirt,  trousers or pinafore dress
• blue gingham dresses may be worn in the summer term
• black school shoes
  

For PE all children need

• white t-shirt
• gym bag
• black or navy PE shorts
• Plimsolls / trainers and a tracksuit for outdoor P.E.
• juniors will possibly need a football kit
  

Optional items

• summer hat / cap
• knitted hat

Jewellery and Hair Accessories
On health and safety grounds we do not allow children to wear jewellery in our school. All headwear needs to be appropriate to school, i.e. hair bands / Alice bands and hair slides only to be worn where hair needs to be tied back. These items should be in line with school colours only.
 
All clothing and footwear should be clearly labelled with your child’s name
