DELIVERY

Depending on your schools chosen service, we aim to deliver orders to UK mainland home or workplace addresses within 21 days on our standard products. During May, June, July, August, September and October the turnaround will increase. Customers will be notified at the time of ordering for the summer turnaround. Non-standard products may take longer.  We do our best to get your school uniform to you as soon as possible and as a result, some orders may arrive earlier.

Delivery to parents for most uniform orders uses a tracked service with email updates informing you of the delivery date, occasionally we use Royal Mail for smaller orders. Delivery is FREE on orders over £50 including VAT. Orders less than £50 including VAT are subject to a delivery charge of £4.95 (including VAT). If sent by Royal Mail your postman will attempt one delivery and will leave you a card so that you can contact them and arrange a redelivery or to collect it from your local Royal Mail depot.

School uniform items supplied are subject to availability of stocks at the date of your order. If you are ordering more than one item, your school uniform may be sent to you in instalments if certain items are out of stock. In no event shall we be liable for any damages or penalty for any delay in delivery.

HOLIDAY DELIVERIES

Schools requiring delivery during the school holidays must provide details at the time of order, otherwise delivery will be to your school during the first week of term. Orders in storage for delivery on the first week of term CANNOT be retrieved during the holiday period. Please allow for our Christmas shut down.

If at your request, we agree to hold some or all of school uniform items in storage at our premises ("the Stored Goods"), each batch of Stored Goods will be deemed delivered (and the risk in, including in respect of loss of or damage to, that batch of Stored Goods shall pass) to you at the date and time of commencement of such storage of that batch of Stored Goods.

For the avoidance of doubt and notwithstanding the storage at our premises of the Stored Goods, save only as set out in this condition, all of the remaining Terms and Conditions of sale remain unaffected by this condition and shall continue to apply (including, without limitation, the provisions relating to price, invoicing and payment terms).

VAT LEGISLATION

Current legislation states that "children's garments, irrespective of size, that bear a prominent logo or badge identifying them as part of the official uniform of schools catering exclusively for children under 14 years of age, maybe supplied at zero rates." Any garments that are destined for adults (e.g. parents and/or staff) are subject to the standard rate of VAT.

VAT legislation states that garments in adult sizes are subject to VAT irrespective of whether they are supplied to a child or an adult. In the case of school uniform bearing a school logo, the adult size garment is still subject to VAT unless the school caters exclusively for children below 14 years of age. VAT applies on garment sizes marked with *.

Non-decorated garments in sizes shown with a * will be subject to VAT irrespective of them being for children or adults. Items such as bags will have VAT applied as these are not classed as garments. If a garment has a lot of stretch, then VAT may apply to smaller sizes, for example, Shadow Stripe Shorts VAT starts from 30/32” which is measured for 10/13 years but this is due to the stretch in the garment. VAT on additional logos does not apply to zero-rated garments. At the time of ordering please ensure you state whether the decorated garments are for child or adult use so that the correct VAT rate can be calculated.

YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL

If you have submitted your school uniform order and received your confirmation email from School Trends, you can still cancel your order if it is in the Payment or New Order stage. Please reply to the order confirmation email and mark it ‘CANCEL MY ORDER’ in the subject line. Please ensure you supply your name, invoice address postcode, the product ordered and order number on the email.

If you wish to cancel your order after the processing/ production stage, please refer to the Returns Policy. On cancellation, for whatever reason, you must return to us the Goods we have delivered to you.

If for any reason you are unhappy with any school uniform item that you have purchased from us, you can return the item to us in its original condition within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, if you are a school, please contact your account manager directly, or our customer service team and we will work to resolve this with you.

WHAT DO I DO IF INCORRECT, DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED GOODS ARE DELIVERED?

In the unlikely event that you receive school uniform items which were not what you ordered, or which are damaged or defective, or are of a different quantity to that stated on your order form, we shall make good any shortage or non-delivery, replace or repair any damaged or defective goods, or refund to you the amount you paid for the school uniform items in question. This is if you notify us of the problem by emailing us within 3 working days of delivery of the goods plus return them to us if we request you to. This does not affect your statutory rights.

The Service is provided by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l.et Cie, S.C.A. (R.C.S. Luxembourg B 118 349) ("PayPal") to registered users in the European Economic Area.
PayPal is duly licensed in Luxembourg as a bank (or “credit institution” in legal terms). PayPal is under the prudential supervision of the Luxembourg financial regulatory authority, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier or CSSF.

ABOUT PAYPAL ENCRYPTION AND DATA STORAGE

End-to-end encryption is an important element in helping to keep your data and PayPal transactions secure. PayPal employs a team of security and compliance experts dedicated to implementing and educating customers on industry standards.

PAYPAL DATA PROTECTION

PayPal complies with stringent requirements for data protection while in transit and at rest such as PCI-DSS. In addition to industry and regulatory encryption requirements, PayPal’s Information Security Policies and Controls are reviewed by independent third parties to the following industry standards and guidelines: American Institute of Certified Public Accountants SSAE16 SOC1, AT101 SOC2, Sarbanes-Oxley.

TLS CONNECTION

When you register or log in to PayPal from your computer or mobile device, PayPal makes sure you’re connecting with TLS 1.0 or higher and only make HTTPS connections (HSTS). Strong TLS configurations are the current industry standard for trusted communication channels and allow your information to transmit across the internet securely. Only allowing HTTPS connections helps to reduce your susceptibility to some passive and active attacks.

SECURITY

PayPal may use cookies, web beacons, or other similar technologies that are necessary to the operation of their sites, services, applications, and tools. This includes technologies that are required to identify irregular site behaviour, prevent fraudulent activity and improve security.  PayPal monitor transactions 24/7.
PayPal blocks payments that appear to them to have serious security problems or to be fraudulent. Sometimes, rather than blocking, PayPal delays a payment to investigate it further.
European laws on payment security require PayPal to identify you through two separate means for certain activities such as sending money or changing your account set-up. For example, if you log in originally with a password, PayPal may also check your device, and can usually do that in the background without involving you.
If you are using a card to fund your payment, the bank that issued the card to you also has a responsibility to identify you. They may do this using 3D Secure, which will ask you for a password.
3D Secure: A process prescribed by card associations (such as Visa and MasterCard) to enable a card issuer to confirm the identity of a person using a card issued by that issuer. 3D Secure uses a password recognised by the issuer (not PayPal) to confirm that the person entering the password is the cardholder known to the issuer. 3D Secure is a generic term; Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode are trade names for 3D Secure.

HOW DOES PAYPAL PROTECT YOUR DATA?

PayPal maintains technical, physical, and administrative security measures designed to provide reasonable protection for your Personal Data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, and alteration.  The security measures include firewalls, data encryption, physical access controls to their data centres, and information access authorisation controls. Your PayPal password or PIN are recorded in encrypted form in their system and are not accessible to PayPal staff.
