Our Terms & Conditions...

When ordering from us, we have a few terms and conditions that we need you to know about. If you have any further queries about our other products and services, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Comprehensive Quality Guarantee...

Here at School Trends, we always aim to uphold the highest standards of quality in our products. Although rare, if you do receive damaged or faulty products, please contact us immediately to organise a refund or replacement. Please be aware that we cannot accept returns for decorated products unless they are found to be faulty.


All orders for school uniform items and each delivery of items made pursuant to an order are divisible and shall be deemed to arise from a separate contract, and Shall be invoiced separately and shall be payable in full without deduction or set off in accordance with the terms of payment under these Terms and Conditions.

Minimum Order Quantities...

• First order - 20 garments
• Repeat order – 6 garments
• Styles, colours and sizes of garments can be mixed but must bear the same style of decoration
• Rugby Shirts – 10 garments
• Badges – Minimum of 20
• Leavers & Events Items – 10 garments

All orders must bear the same logo and style of decoration.

Garments Subject to Special Order Terms...

Purple Classic Sweatshirts & Sweatcardis: Minimum 6 garments, 8-10 weeks delivery
Trimmed Blazer: Minimum of 20 garments per style/colour, 6-8 weeks delivery
Trimmed Skirts (Secondary schools only): Minimum of 20 garments per style/colour, 6-8 weeks delivery
Striped Knitwear: Minimum 36 garments (3 per size, then multiples of 3 every order), 8-10 weeks delivery from approval.
Tank Tops: Minimum 36 garments (3 per size, then multiples of 3 every order), 8-10 weeks delivery from approval.
ST Sports (Secondary schools only): Minimum of 10 items per colour option apply, initial orders are delivered within 10-12 weeks.
Rugby Shirts: Minimum 10 garments per colour, up to 12 weeks delivery.
Sew on Badges: Minimum 20

Delivery for specific items will be reduced if a stock agreement is in place.

Logo Set-up...

Logos are originated FREE of charge with your first order. Secondary School Specialism logos (Sports Colleges, Arts Colleges etc) are originated FREE of charge.
Additional logos are subject to further charges.  Please see the Additional Decorations section.

Garment Decoration...

As standard (unless otherwise stated) all of our products include the cost of one decoration. Additional logos are subject to an additional charge:

• Embroidered - £1.75+VAT
• Printed - £1.00+VAT
• Transfers* - £1.75+VAT
• Specialism logo - £1+VAT

Transfers are only available on certain products due to the nature of the decoration process. Please contact us to discuss this further. If you simply want to order plain garments we offer a reduction of £1.00 from the decorated price detailed in our latest brochures or online.

Additional Decorations...

For any extra logos (e.g. trips, clubs and commemorative logos) you wish to place on your products the following charges will apply for the design and development of your logo:

  • Embroidered - £15+VAT (design and development of logo) (Maximum stitch count 10,000 stitches)
  • Printed - £10+VAT (design and development of logo)
  • Transfers - £10+VAT (design and development of logo)

Add Names onto Uniform...

Logo’s, team names, house names or school name to any garment on the right/left chest or on the back are subject to the following additional charges, per garment:

Embroidered £2.75+VAT
Transfer £1.75+VAT
Print £1.00+VAT

To add individual names to any garment it is £2.75+VAT per garment, per name. Add 3 character initials on the right chest to any garments for an additional cost of £2.75+VAT per garment, per set of initials.
Minimum order of 10 garments (can be different name and different garment/sizes). If you do not require a left chest decoration, then the cost of the custom decoration is either reduced or removed depending on your order. Origination charge applies please contact us to find out more.



All orders are normally delivered within 14 days throughout the year.

If, at your request, we agree to hold some or all of school uniform items in storage at our premises ("the Stored Goods"), each batch of Stored Goods will be deemed delivered (and the risk in, including in respect of loss of or damage to, that batch of Stored Goods shall pass) to you at the date and time of commencement of such storage of that batch of Stored Goods.
For the avoidance of doubt and notwithstanding the storage at our premises of the Stored Goods, save only as set out in this condition, all of the remaining Terms and Conditions of sale remain unaffected by this condition and shall continue to apply (including, without limitation, the provisions relating to price, invoicing and payment terms).

Holiday Deliveries

Schools requiring delivery during the school holidays must provide details at the time of ordering, otherwise delivery will be to your school during the first week of term. Orders in storage for delivery on the first week of term CANNOT be retrieved during the holiday period.

Sample Service...

Here at School Trends, we are more than happy to send you samples of our plain garments in the styles and colours of your choice. These will be sent with an invoice and instructions on how to return FREE of charge. Return your sample(s) within 30 days and your invoice will be credited. To keep your sample(s) send payment as per invoice. The invoice will be plain price, please refer to the decorated price for logo’d uniform.

Leavers and Events

Minimum order of 10 garments required.  Garments must bear the same design.  Price includes one free personalised printed back design. For a left chest logo add £1.00+VAT (printed) or £1.75+VAT (embroidered or transferred) per garment. Please allow up to 21 days delivery from approval of your design. We aim to get your design to you within 7-10 days from receipt of your list of names and 7 days per edit. Accuracy is key to minimising the number of changes which can delay your approval. Please note an admin charge of £10+VAT will apply for 2 or more edits. Non-stock Leavers and Events designs will be subject to an additional set-up charge of £10+VAT.

VAT Legislation...

Current legislation states that "children's garments, irrespective of size, that bear a prominent logo or badge identifying them as part of the official uniform of schools catering exclusively for children under 14 years of age, may be supplied at zero rate." Any garments that are destined for adults (e.g. parents and/or staff) are subject to the standard rate of VAT.
VAT legislation states that garments in adult sizes are subject to VAT irrespective of whether they are supplied to a child or an adult. In the case of school uniform bearing a school logo the adult size garment is still subject to VAT unless the school caters exclusively for children below 14 years of age.

VAT applies on garment sizes marked with *.

Non-decorated garments in sizes shown with a * will be subject to VAT irrespective of them being for children or adults. Items such as bags will have VAT applied as these are not classed as garments. If a garment has a lot of stretch, then VAT may apply to smaller sizes, for example, Shadow Stripe Shorts VAT starts from 30/32” which is measured for a 10/13 years but this is due to the stretch in the garment. VAT on additional logos is not applicable to zero rated garments.

At the time of ordering please ensure you state whether the decorated garments are for child or adult use so that the correct VAT rate can be calculated.

School Trends are PCI compliant for taking on-line orders and taking payments via credit card terminals over the phone in person.
