Meet The Team

Hi I'm Sam and I work in the Finance Team here at School Trends. I started as a Finance Officer in 2001 working part time to fit in with a young family. Once the kids started school I was then able to increase my hours while still retaining a degree of flexibility when required, which was fantastic.
In 2006 I began to take on more responsibility within the team and the opportunity to develop towards becoming a Team Leader arose. I completed the relevant training which included attending our 3 day Community Company Classes which underpins what School Trends culture and philosophy is all about. I have been Team Leader in Finance for 4 years now and relish the day to day challenges it brings. More recently I was given the opportunity to undertake an NVQ in Business Improvement Techniques (Level 2).
I have worked for School Trends now for nearly ten years and to be honest there has never been a day in all that time that I haven't wanted to come to work. It differs so much from the other companies I have worked for as they put the customer at the forefront of everything they do and genuinely care about them.

Hi I'm Jodie and I began working for School Trends in 2004 as a temp in the Print Team, helping out with admin duties such as retrieving screens, pulling out print instruction sheets for requested orders and taping out screens in preparation for printing. It was whilst I was undertaking this role that I applied for a full time position in the Embroidery Team.
After 6 short weeks and following the restructure of the Embroidery Team, I joined the Customer Support and Sales Admin Team, helping out with samples, customer returns and general admin duties. I now operate a split role between the Purchasing and Finance Teams. The day to day duties include booking in the stock from suppliers, setting up stock codes and administrating supplier invoices.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the variety of roles and departments I have worked in whilst at School Trends as it has enabled me to gain an all round knowledge of the business along side developing myself personally and professionally. This development compliments me as I love to learn new skills and School Trends continue to be very supportive of this. I have recently completed my level one book keeping and folk lift truck qualifications.

Hi I'm Lynn and I am the Local Sales Representative covering the North East region. My background is in Retail and Educational Sales but before I joined School Trends I setup and ran my own commercial cleaning business whilst looking after my Mum who was suffering from poor health.
Selling uniform into schools is my perfect job as it enables me to meet new people and forge strong relationships with my customers, which I enjoy and also feel is really important in the role. I recently attended a number of parents evenings, assisting schools with their new intake uniform requirements, sizing sets and talking to parents about our products and services which was a valuable experience that was both rewarding and fun.
Although I have only worked for School Trends just over a year now, I love it as it gives me the opportunity to do what I do best everyday. Although I work remotely and don't get to Head Office very often, my colleagues there are always so warm and welcoming, its like coming home!
