Ethical Trading Policy

School Trends is a leading supplier of decorated school uniform and is passionately committed to providing each and every one of our valued customers with a service that meets your requirements and surpasses your expectations.

School Trends has developed a code of practice to ensure that we fulfill our ethical obligations and responsibilities. We stipulate that all our suppliers comply with the following:

1) Employment should be freely chosen and non-discriminatory. In particular, it must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, standards and codes of practice in the country of origin with regards to:

a. Health and Safety of all individuals involved in the production process of the garments.

b. Elimination of the utilisation of any person who is under the legal age of employment.

c. Provision of acceptable conditions of employment, with decent living conditions and reasonable hours of working.

2) Materials are sourced solely from countries that operate an effective policy to minimise the environmental impact of their operations, and take into account sustainability issues. This includes:

a. The production, sales and distribution of the garments.

b. The disposal of any waste products generated in the production process of the materials.

c. The disposal of any materials that do not comply with the stipulated specification.

3) Comprehensive quality control measures are implemented at all stages of the production process to ensure all material complies with the relevant specification (normally or better).

School Trends conducts thorough screening of our supply chain to review compliance with our ethical policy. A representative will complete an audit of activities at least once a year in conjunction with our suppliers, and will liaise with international and non-government organisations to ensure that all ethical criteria are considered.
